Larimar is a rare blue variety of the mineral pectolite, found only in the Dominican Republic. It is prized for its striking shades of sky blue, turquoise and blue-green, often patterned with white markings that resemble the movement of ocean waves.
The natural patterns and variations in colour give larimar its distinctive character. No two stones are exactly alike, making it particularly appealing to those who appreciate unusual gemstones with a strong connection to nature.
